It's beginning to look alot like......Springtime!
So we've had a few days here and there that have been just so beautiful! Like today for instance, it's (almost) 60 degrees and sunny! Now I know all our friends and family back in NC will rub in our faces that it's like 80 degrees already there but we're trying not to think of that!
We have been enjoying the weather best we can. This past weekend we went out for ice cream at Graeter's. Graeter's Ice Cream is the local ice cream joint that everyone in Cincy raves about. It was pretty good ice cream but the great part was that we were able to enjoy it outside. Well for a few minutes at least until the chill set in and we realized that we were cold in the 60 degree weather! We are complete cold bodies! Still, it was a nice sneak peak of what we are in store for this spring.
It seems people aren't hindered by the weather here. They are still out and about all weekend even when it's super cold! But when the weather is nice, there are tons of people running outside, walking their dogs, enjoying the outdoor shopping centers, and exploring the parks.
We are excited to have our family and friends visit this spring for sure! We're going to really be able to get out and explore the town and our neighborhood. I for one can't wait to decorate the back yard and enjoy it all summer long!!
Think Spring for us please! No more flurries!!!
P.S. The daffodils in the yard are already peaking out (Well at least that's what I think they are but I'm not none for my green thumb)!!!! : )

Posted Pic!
In the last post I totally forgot to give the meaning behind the photo I added! The picture was taken by one of my wonderfully long arms in Ault Park here in Cincinnati.
It was during or first visit in town on our quest to find the perfect house. The park is huge and has a beautiful grand pavilion. We were told it's a wonderful place for a wedding in the spring and summer. Maybe we'll have to sneak by a few this summer!:)There are overlooks and great walking trails as well!
Hopefully when it warms up we'll be able to experience all it's greatness! Maybe as soon as next week when the temperatures will be in the 50's!!!!! Call me excited about that! Kody and I just may have to have a mommy & puppy park day!!
Happy Friday and hope everyone has a great weekend! : )

I'm a Cincinnati slacker!
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! We've been in Cincinnati for over 2 weeks now and I am just now updating everyone on our progress! My plan was to keep you up to date but sadly I've failed. So hopefully with this post, more will continuously come!
Well here is a short version of our adventures here: We moved out of our apartment, spent a few days at my parents house, took an 8 hour trip with the cat & dog in tow, spent a few nights in a hotel room with 2 pets, finally made it to our house, all our belongings showed up on our truck safe and sound, spent one week unpacking and organizing, Dustin started work and I started as his chauffeur, met a few new friends in town, joined a gym, and have been on a few interviews. Wheeww! I think that's the quickest version of the last few weeks possible!
So far we love our cute little house. Kody is truly in love with his new backyard. We have seen snowflakes at least twice a week! I am still in the honeymoon stage with the snow. Although I am skeptical that this excitement will ever wear off. Dustin is getting the hang of his new job and getting some great bank experience.
I've had time to go out and explore the town. We have a great shopping center right behind our house that has almost anything we could need! Our neighborhood has a "square" which has cute boutiques, local restaurants, and galleries. Every neighborhood close by has a square so we have so many opportunities to explore new restaurants and bars and shops!
I hope to keep everyone updated with what's going on with us here! Let's hope I get better than I have been! ;)

Cincinnati Takes the Cake!
That's right, you read right! So I know, know! It's been AWHILE, to say the least, since I last posted on this blog. After I began blogging, I slowly lost a good direction. So here I am back (with a bit more direction) at the end of the year of 2010 with some News!!!
Dustin and I are moving to Cincinnati, Ohio!! We are excited about the adventure and opportunity to be able to move! We are thrilled to be able to see what this world has to offer in different locations. We have thought about moving out of NC for some time now. We've both felt that the world is such a huge amazing wonder and all we have is this one life to experience it. So we're trekking out on our adventure to experience what God has given us all, Cincinnati!
Yeah I know what you are thinking! Ohio really wasn't on our list of "Really want to live there", but it was never on the "When hell freezes over!!" list either. We've spoken with many people from the area and people who live there now and surprisingly, all around the reviews are positive! Dustin will be working at the big bank in town, doing what he loves to do, which makes me a happy girl. I will be searching for a job once we get up there. With Macy's headquartered in town, I'm hoping to get back to my major, which is very exciting!
We will be visiting the city next week to find a house to rent. Our relocation specialist is convinced this process should only take a day. I think she must be an extreme optimist!! We're looking for a house so that Kody has a wide open backyard to play in, even though it will be covered in snow more often than not!
To all our friends and family in NC, we will miss you more than you know and every one of you are more than welcome to come visit. I hear the months of November to March are extremely amazing, but might be a bit frigid and seem like a frozen tundra to our fellow Southerners! So you may need to pack your snow boots! :)
I will try to keep everyone up to date with the happenings and adventures of these Stancil's in the big city of Cincy! I'm hoping to post some pics after our trip there next week, so stay tuned!!

Good Read!
Today, while I should have been working (oops! Hehe!), I stumbled into a website called GoodReadscom. The site bring book lovers together in a facebook style community!!! You have to know that I am very excited about this new discovery! I do like facebook with it's ablility to see old friends and stay in touch with out of town family, but it's really starting to bore me! In the last few years, I have really fallen in love with reading! As a student, I hated reading books for school. I just never felt a connection to the books my teachers chose. As an adult, I have the ability to find books that I have an interest in without anyone telling me what and what not to read!
Well Good Reads gives me the ability to bring my love for books into discussions with others who have the same love! The site has trivia, book groups, ability to share your own voice on your own profile, invite friends and meet new friends who, in my case, have a love for Twilight or Janet Evanovich books!!
I've started setting up my profile already! I've added and rated the books I have already read! I can swap books with others who may want what I've read and have what I want! I can keep track of the books I still want to read and even keep them in a particular order!! My current book is Eat,Pray,Love. I've been told it's a book that every woman should read! I'm only about 100 pages in and I totally agree!!! I am not one to normally read non-fiction but this book is great! So if you have a chance, go out and get it! I think it will be worth it!
If you are a book lover or just would like a site to visit for book reviews, Good Reads.com is the place! Please visit and if you find me, Add me as a friend!
Here's my profile link!

Hope to see you there!

New Background
Found a new background this morning?
What do you think? I'm still trying to find a true direction for my blog theme. I'm not sure this is a perfect fit but it's cute for now!
Along with finding the perfect background, I am also trying to find the direction I want to go with the blog and topics. I want everything to be unified. So there are things going on now with my life that will control this...So right now it's just a waiting game. Hopefully, in the meantime I'll have topics and thoughts that I will want to share with you.
Until then, I came across this website today....Should put a smile on your face!
